JK Recycling partnered with Wolfable to design a new logo for their upcoming recycle equipment manufacturing unit. The challenge was to create the logo pattern in the golden ratio. This ratio is used to create mesmerising design compositions. The golden ratio is a shape with a proportion of 1 to 1.618. It is closely related to the Fibonacci sequence. The Fibonacci numbers follow a sequence in which each number is the sum of the two preceding ones, starting from 0 and 1. Here’s a simple example: 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, etc.
In our design, we wanted to create the logo with a J & K font in the same icon which follows the concrete, mathematical approach of the Fibonacci series. To manifest the pattern, we took the circle of 5 and 8 with the closing of 3. As the closing border of both the font is small in size, we took the circle of 3. The mathematically golden ratio is an irrational number, so it's not possible to achieve it perfectly in the design. But the more we can push the design gets better. In the end, we used minimal bright colours that bring the reflection of recycling in design with marketing flexibility.
The main motive behind designing a logo with the golden ratio is to bring something which gets noticed and create an evolved brand identity for their business. Through our outstanding design, we fulfilled all the requirements that fine logo design asks for. And the result, we got warm appreciation from the client and their team members.
